Β Netherlands

The Netherlands beat Poland (2:1) in the first round. With a goal scored in the late minutes of the game their series of the European Championship matches without draws reached 8 meetings (4 wins, 4 defeats). The last time the Netherlands levelled on score with an opponent after 90 minutes of a European Championship game was in 2008, in the quarter-finals against Russia. The Netherlands have won 4 out of their last 5 UEFA Euro games, scoring at least 2 goals in these 4 games. Β

Β

  • Number 2 has been seen in the final result of 6 out of the last 7 European Championship games the Netherlands have played. Team to score 2 goals or more – 3/5
  • At least three goals have been scored in 5 out of the last 7 European Championship games the Netherlands have played. Over 2.5 – 19/20
  • The Netherlands have won 6 out of their last 7 official games. Netherlands to win – 11/5

France

France beat Austria in the first round (1:0) thanks to an own goal scored by the Austrian defender. This was the 100th victory for Didier Deschamps as the French head coach. Prior to that, France were on a 3-game winless run (all 3 games were tied after 90 minutes). France haven’t lost in regular time their last 12 European Championship games, with 7 wins and 5 draws.

Β

Kylian MbappΓ© is to miss the game due to his broken nose. He’s likely to miss the 3rd round, too as the recovery is about to take 15 days.

  • At least one teams hasn’t been able to score in 7 out of the last 9 official games France have played. BothΒ teamsΒ toΒ score – no – 1/1
  • France have scored at least 2 goals in 5 out of their last 7 official games. France OverΒ 1.5 – 5/4

Netherlands vs France Prediction

Both teams won their first games, but it wasn’t an easy task for neither of them. France won due to an own goal scored by Austria and the Netherlands scored their decisive goal in the last 10 minutes of the game versus Poland. NoΒ one’sΒ likelyΒ to riskΒ inΒ thisΒ game.

Β

The Dutch side has played versus France twice in the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament, losing on both occasions (0:4 and 1:2). They’re unlikely to risk once again as they know too well what the French attacking players are capable of. France will lack Kylian MbappΓ©, so they won’t like to risk either. By the way, in the previous edition of Euro, France had two draws after winning the first game.

Β

One point seems to be way better than a possible defeat as in this case the 3rd round will be important.

Β

Our prediction is a Draw at 23/10 .

Betting tips 21 Jun 2024

The Netherlands beat Canada and Iceland (4:0 in both cases) in the friendly games played before the start of Euro 2024. The Dutch side proved that they could play well without de Jong and Koopmeiners in the first game against Poland. The PSV players Veerman and Schouten were perfect both in defence and attack. The Netherlands had 1.50 xG with 20 shots. They won (2:1) but let Poland create a lot, anyway. The Dutch defensive line isn’t perfect. Poland made 11 shots, with 7 of them being on target.

France will be dangerous in attack even without MbappΓ©. At the end of the game versus Austria (1:0) Thuram and Kolo Muani were good, with Giroud as a centre-forward. If Coman and Barcola appear on the pitch, France will have new options to score. The side had 2.09 xG in the first game, and it wasn’t only MbappΓ© who contributed to this result.

The fact that the Netherlands and France beat their opponents in the first game doesn’t guarantee them anything. France will play without MbappΓ©, the Netherlands have proved they can deal with the problems.

In October, the Netherlands played well against France (1:2). The French team will be closer to winning the game, but the Dutch side will score.
